Pakistani Politician Fears Hijacking of Islamic Movements
Islamabad, Sep 18, IRNA
Pakistani former Senator and religious leader on sunday advised Muslim Ummah to remain alert against American conspiracies to hijack Islamic movements in Middle East and North Africa.
Talking to IRNA, Hafiz Hussian Ahmad added that surely these movements have roots in Islam, adding that the people of many Muslim countries were tired from despotic rulers serving the western interests.
“Uprising in Islamic regions is a result of awakening of Muslim Ummah for their rights”, he said.
Several countries in the Middle East and North Africa are witnessing popular uprisings against their long-term rulers.
Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has said the recent Islamic movements in such countries as Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Bahrain and Yemen are divine blessings.
He stressed that Iran supported such movements with the hope that these Islamic movements would result in the ultimate failure of the biggest enemies, namely the Zionists and the US.
Hafiz Hussian Ahmad was of the view that Muslim countries should form their own United Nations to counter anti-Islam strategies of the United Nations (UN) and the Security Council.
